We look forward to continuing to offer strategic advice to support the development of e-learning in your organisation and to promoting good practice through our peer networks.
During 2009/10, the focus of our direct work with learning providers moved towards supporting institutional development and in the coming year this will continue, together with the key regional activities for which the RSC has become valued.
Our services to supported learning providers for 2010/11, are also informed by themes that have emerged, from feedback with partners and yourselves, as increasingly significant:
Each supported learning provider is entitled to at least one annual RSC visit. The introduction of our ‘round table’ approach has been successful in facilitating a strategic view of e-learning progress by ensuring that the key stakeholders within an institution are represented. The new e-Progress Review service complements this approach, supporting managers to reflect on their institutional progress towards e-maturity.
This free service enables senior management to gain an all-round view of their institutional progress with e-Learning. More information is available from your account manager. More...
Every RSC supported learning provider is entitled to use the RSC helpdesk facility for ILT related enquiries. These enquiries will receive a prompt and effective response coordinated by your account manager.
RSC London will continue to provide events designed to help you make sense of the national agenda. There will be events over the next 12 months focusing on the Learner Experience, e-Portfolios, JISC Services for FE …
Our events programme starts with “Future Learning” a half-day seminar for FE college principals taking place on 16th October 2008 at the British Library.
Also, look out for opportunities to share good practice, including a bid-writing workshop, a green road show, staff development conference and technical forum.
• Monthly e-bulletin service to all contacts

• Specialist news and information aimed at practitioners and disseminated through JISCMAIL lists.

Work Based Learning
To subscribe to any of these lists please email admin@rsc-london.ac.uk
These communities provide access to areas of specialism and expertise within the RSC, from national partners and from within the community itself. The RSC will continue to support these through online and other means. The primary interface is via the Community Hub with additional face-to-face events and regional activities as appropriate. Membership is open to all RSC-supported learning providers within the London region.
Examples of good practice will continue to be collected from across the region for publication on the Excellence Gateway.
After last year’s successful launch, RSC London is continuing to offer JANET connected sites, free access to ULCC’s Traffic Recording and Profiling (TRAP) Service, which provides diagnostic information on network traffic.
Every supported learning provider has a nominated account manager who will keep you informed and help you get the best out of all the RSC London Services.
