Accessibility

The JISC RSC for London strives to encourage and improve the use of e-learning across FE, HE, ACL and Specialist Colleges in the London region. Under this remit, we also aim to enhance the learning and teaching experiences of students and staff with disabilities, who are studying and working at institutions in London. This section of the website will provide advice and guidance for Disability Officers and other members of staff with an interest in Accessibility, with particular focus on Assistive Technologies.

Assistive Technology Boxes
To showcase some of the accessibility tools available, the JISC RSC for London has been given an Assistive Technology Box, containing hardware, software and low-technology items to aid students' learning.

These boxes - funded through JISC Organisational Support and distributed by TechDis - contain over 40 pieces of technology designed to be trialled and displayed around the sectors to increase knowledge of assistive technology and its uses with disabled staff and students.

In order to support the distribution of these boxes, TechDis have produced a number of supporting documents and guides as to the pedagogical uses of these technologies.
