Enabling Web 2.0
We collaborate therefore we learn - enabling Web 2.0 for learning?
Online - FREE EVENT
30th April 2009
This event looked at the key question of how to use web 2.0 tools as a resource in teaching and learning while meeting legal, bandwidth, and classroom management concerns. Responses from the RSC London survey show that learning providers are moving toward greater access to web applications such as Youtube, Instant Messaging, Facebook and Hotmail. However, current usgae does vary across sectors with HE being the most liberal and FE the most restrictive.
A good debate took place where delegates exchanged views and approaches. The outcome was an agreement that it is early days with the use of web 2.0 and the legal and cultural framework needs to catch up with what is actually happening. Colleges feel reassured that a common practical approach to this challenge is developing across the London region.
